Here is how you can install GIMP 2.0

1. Remove Gimp 1. yum remove gimp. (this will also remove any dependencies)
*Note* This may remove sane-frontends just reinstall it when your done.

2. Install lcms and libexif. libexif may already be installed. If not yum install libexif will do the trick. If you dont have dag setup in your yum.conf then you can get the libexif from:

http://apt.sw.be/redhat/fc1/en/i386/RPMS.dag/libexif-0.5.12-2.rhfc1.dag.i386.rpm
lcms can be found here:
http://mirrors.usc.edu/pub/linux/fedora/fedora/redhat/9/i386/RPMS.stable/lcms-1.11-0.fdr.3.rh90.i386.rpm
3. Get Gimp 2 from: ftp://ftp.gimp.org/pub/users/drc/gimp-2.0.0-1.i386.rpm
rpm -ivh gimp-2.0.0-1.i386.rpm
4. If sane-frontends was removed in step 1, just install it now.
yum install sane-frontends
Thats it.. Enjoy the new Gimp 2.0 - submitted by Wayne Leutwyler
