I read on the LinuxToday website a posting of the new UnrealTournament 2004 DEMO for Linux. After that I 'run' to the website to download the UT20004DEMO for Linux . Uncompress the file en follow the instuctions

Here a summary what works for me, everything cost me about 15 minutes !

Step 1. Download: ut2004-lnx-demo-3120.run.bz2
Step 2. exit the X server, so you have only a console (as root) and make a copy of my /etc/X11/XFree86 file
Step 3. Run the follow command: sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5336-pkg1.run
Step 4. Edit my /etc/X11/XFree86
Change the lines to conform the README file see ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/1.0-5336/README
Step 5. Restart X or restart your computer en start X
Step 6. Start the ut2004demo (for me) #/usr/local/ut2004demo/ut2004demo and you can play
