Mozilla Firefox 1.0.7 Released
This version (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/releases/1.0.7.html) includes several security and stability fixes, including a fix for a reported buffer overflow vulnerability and a fix for a Linux shell command vulnerability. Official RPM packages for Fedora Core 3 (http://fedoranews.org/blog/?p=901) and Fedora Core 4 have been released.
Unavoidable Xorg package update problems
This week there were two xorg-x11 Fedora Updates xorg-x11-6.8.2-37.FC4.48.1 and xorg-x11-6.8.2-37.FC4.49.2 which caused some problem with certain video hardware. At the end, a note (http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Bugs/XorgUpdateFix) from the Desk of the Fedora Xorg developers was issued to explain the situation.
News for ASUS K8N-DL owners
Warren Togami points out in this bugzilla (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=159078), the BIOS update fixes ACPI errors that caused a problem with FC4 on ASUS motherboard.
Fedora FAQ merger effort
Rahul Sundaram points (http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-marketing-list/2005-September/msg00220.html) out the effort on merging all the Fedora related FAQ's into the wiki.
