TUTORIAL: ogg-vorbis

on Dec 13, 2003 by Thomas Chung

This tutorial shows step-by-step screenshots for creating Ogg Vorbis files.
Ogg Vorbis is a fully open, non-proprietary, patent-and-royalty-free, general-purpose compressed audio format which is equivalent to mp3. To create Ogg Vobis files from one of your favorite CD, you will need "Sound Juicer" and "Music Player (Rhythmbox)" which are included with Fedora Core 1. For more information on Ogg Vorbis, visit The Ogg Vorbis CODEC project

First Insert your favorite CD. In this tutorial, I've inserted my favorite
Christmas Holiday Album.
If it starts playing with CD Player, press stop button and close the CD Player.
