At times you may want to merge cells. Below is an example of the problem. The first cell has background formatting applied but because it moves into the second cell the color formatting does not carry over.
To merge these cells highlight both and choose Format on the Menu Bar and then Merge Cells and Define will be available. Click and instantly the format carries over to the next cell.
