Tip of the Week: How To Assign Shortcut Keys
This will allow you to bind a key, or combination of keys to a program

In KDE
- Right click on the RedHat Menu
- Select Menu Editor
- Select the Program you want to assign a shortcut key to in the left half of the Menu Editor
- Click on 'Current Shortcut Key' in the bottom right
- Set the shortcut key. In Advanced mode you can set a string
In GNOME
- Go to Desktop -> Prefs -> Keyboard shortcuts
- Select the appropiate program and double click it
- Type the key combinations you want to bind for that program
