Looking for the latest and greatest, cutting- edge Linux OS? The Fedora Project just released its newest community-supported OS, Fedora Core 4.
This month's issue tells you all about it and the additional software for it available through Fedora Extras. Also check out the Fedora status report for information on the Fedora Foundation.
If you finish this issue and want more to read, check out our Summer reading list. Red Hat's execs, managers, developers, and associates share their favorite books.
There are even a few suggestions from Red Hat Magazine readers.
As always, we appreciate your comments. Let us know what you think.

We finished another issue of Red Hat Magazine today, complete with Ogg Theora videos and everything.
This month, we are featuring Fedora Core 4 (FC4).
FC4 is packed with new features including GNOME 2.10, a new theme called Clearlooks, and the milestone release of OpenOffice.org 2.0.
Most of the packages are also compiled with the ExecShield option to prevent buffer overflows.
If that's not enough for you, Fedora Extras, a repository for even more Fedora software, has over 1000 packages for you to experiment with.
Also check out our summer reading list to see what we are reading on the beach, in front of a fire, or during our lunch break.
There are even a few suggestions from Red Hat Magazine readers.

Corrections in Fedora Extras status:
New maintainers are welcome; the process for becoming a maintainer for Fedora Extras is documented on fedoraproject.org (http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Extras/CvsAccess).
There are a number of packages in Fedora Extras that are currently without maintainers. These are listed on fedoraproject.org (http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Extras/OrphanedPackages).
