Unofficial FAQ Update: 2005-08-10
Max Kanat-Alexander (mailto:max_list@fedorafaq.org) reports (http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-announce-list/2005-August/msg00027.html) that his Unofficial Fedora FAQ (http://www.fedorafaq.org/) site has been updated. In addition to many minor updates, this update includes: method of installing FC4 using floppies (http://www.fedorafaq.org/#floppyinstall) and many new translations.
Launch of Fedora Foundation delayed
InforWorld.com reports (http://www.infoworld.com/article/05/08/09/HNfedoradelay_1.html) Fedora project as an independent, nonprofit organization has been delayed due to administrative issues. Now it looks like the foundation will be set up by mid-September. Mark Webbink who is a Deputy General Counsel and Secretary at Red Hat said Bylaws for the foundation have already been drafted, and Red Hat is in the process of choosing board members now.
Desktop search with Beagle on Fedora Core 4
Sean Carlos would like share his documentation on getting up and running with Beagle and Fedora Core 4 (http://www.antezeta.com/beagle-fedora.html). In his email, he describes Beagle as "for those of us who have several years of project documents and e-mails, tools like Beagle are godsends in unlocking information we forgot we had." Fedoraproject.org needs to be revamped
