Red Hat Magazine Issue 20 June 2006

According to Red Hat Magazine Editor's Blog (http://blogs.redhat.com/magazine/archives/000262.html):

It's a great feeling to have hosted another successful Summit. And it's a joy to bring you a virtual reenactment in this month's issue of Red Hat Magazine (http://www.redhat.com/magazine/). You'll find video segments from open source stars like Cory Doctorow (http://www.redhat.com/magazine/020jun06/features/video_doctorow/) and Eben Moglen (http://www.redhat.com/magazine/020jun06/features/video_moglen/) who deliver inspiring, visionary keynotes on issues pertaining to digital rights management, the protection of ingenuity and freedom. Our own CEO, Matthew Szulik, opens up the festivities with his keynote (http://www.redhat.com/magazine/020jun06/features/video_szulik/), and our trusted writer-in-residence, Paul W. Frields, gives the skinny on the fun of Fedora (http://www.redhat.com/magazine/020jun06/features/summit_frields/) at the Summit.

Patrick Davila (http://fedoranews.org/cms/user/1475) with The Linux Link Tech Show (http://tllts.org/) reports in fedoranews story (http://fedoranews.org/cms/node/1142):

We interviewed Max last night on The Linux Link Tech Show:

The interview starts at 32:13

Max Spevack (http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/MaxSpevack) also points out in his blog (http://spevack.livejournal.com/1637.html):

I did an hour long interview last night with the guys of the Linux Link Tech Show -- a weekly, streaming internet show devoted to linux and open source. ...So they've got a pretty good following and track record, and when they asked me to talk about Fedora, I was happy to do so.

Distrowatch: Still undecided? Then install Fedora Core 5!

According to DistroWatch Weekly, Issue 155, 12 June 2006 (http://distrowatch.com/weekly.php?issue=20060612#opinion):

Fedora Core 5 has received the best reviews in the media. The availability of extra software repositories and the continuous upgrade of important software packages in the core system have been well received. Very few Fedora 5 users reported problems with the installation and, apart from having to setup multimedia support manually, it works great out of the box.

If you are still undecided about which distribution to try on your system, take a good look at Fedora Core 5. It is possibly one of the most stable and dependable Linux distributions ever built!

Even Max Spevack (http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/MaxSpevack) points out this article in his recent announcement of the push toward fc6 (http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-announce-list/2006-June/msg00006.html)
