  • OpenAFS.org continues to release (http://lists.openafs.org/pipermail/openafs-announce/2005/000127.html) openafs 1.4.0 Release Candidate 8 (http://www.openafs.org/dl/openafs/candidate/1.4.0-rc8/). Here is my own custom RPM packages (http://fedoranews.org/tchung/openafs/fc4/1.4.0-rc8) using Matthew Millers' spec file (http://www.mattdm.org/misc/openafs/)
  • After reading a discussion (http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-marketing-list/2005-October/msg00067.html) on "Single CD Fedora distro", I thought Fedora Core 4 Kickstart Network Install CD (http://fedoranews.org/tchung/kickstart/) could be useful for some people.
  • According to one of VMware developer's blog (http://intr.overt.org/blog/?p=10), VMware Player (http://www.vmware.com/products/player/) Beta is now available to public for Free! I thougt this could be a great way to expose Windows users to Linux by giving them a copy of Fedora Core 4 Virutal Machine (http://fedoranews.org/tchung/vmware/FC4_VM_WINXP.png). If you're interested in, please let me know since I could send you one in DVD. (Donations are always appreciated to cover media cost.) Official Press Release (http://www.vmware.com/news/releases/player.html).
  • Red Hat Linux Networking and System Administration (http://www.wiley.com/WileyCDA/WileyTitle/productCd-0764599496.html), 3rd Edition was released on October 10, 2005. It says "Offers a close look at the new Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 and Fedora Core 4 releases". Well, that's good enough for me to place an order (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0764599496/).
