- OpenAFS.org announced (http://lists.openafs.org/pipermail/openafs-announce/2005/000125.html) openafs 1.4.0 Release Candidate 6 (http://www.openafs.org/dl/openafs/candidate/1.4.0-rc6/) is now available. No official RPM packages released yet.
- I was able to build my own RPM packages for openafs-1.4.0rc6 using openafs.org spec file but it failed to mount /afs on FC4 so I built custom RPM packages (http://fedoranews.org/tchung/openafs/fc4/) using Matthew Millers' spec file (http://www.mattdm.org/misc/openafs/) and I was able to mount /afs on FC4.
- It seems Cisco VPN doesn't like kernel 2.6.13 since it worked up until kernel-smp-2.6.12-1.1447_FC4.
- Rui Carmo (mailto:rcarmo@mac.com) reports (http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/qemu-devel/2005-10/msg00133.html) direct VNC support for qemu (http://libvncserver.sourceforge.net/qemu) is now been added to CVS for QEMU (http://qemu.org).
- Robin Green (mailto:greenrd@greenrd.org) sent me a updated spec file (http://fedoranews.org/tchung/qemu/0.7.2/fc4/x86/qemu.spec) for QEMU to support x86_64 conditional
- Tested Updated FC4 PPC ISO with 20050927 updates (http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/SupportedPowerPC). Here is a screenshot (http://fedoranews.org/tchung/ppc/pegasos/20050927/) along with a few tips.
