  • Tejas Dinkar found an interesting article, Five mistakes GNU/Linux neophytes (Newbies) make (http://www.linux.com/article.pl?sid=05/08/24/1836223)
  • I thought TheOpenCD (http://www.theopencd.org/) is a great idea to expose Free and Open Source Software to Windows users. In fact, I gave a few copies to my colleague at work.
  • I was surprised that I found QEMU on Wikipeida (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QEMU). Since new version has been released, I've updated the page including new screenshot running on Fedora Core.
  • Firefox 1.5 Beta 1 (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/releases/1.5beta1.html) has been released. There is even a Wikinews page for Firefox 1.5 Beta (http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Firefox_1.5_beta_released_to_public).
  • I found Firefox 1.5 Beta 1 to be stable yet a few annoyances such as stretched status bar and failures in chrome registration. Regardless, I was able to build my own RPM spec (http://fedoranews.org/tchung/firefox/1.5b1/firefox.spec).
  • Kudos to Christopher Aillon for releasing (http://christopher.aillon.org/blog/dev/fedora/20050910-packages.html) Firefox and Mozilla security updates for Fedora Project so fast. Here are errata (http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/CAN-2005-2871.html) for RHEL users.
