O'Reilly and Associates has released a new title on Red Hat systems adminstration: Managing RPM-Based Systems with Kickstart and Yum. It describes how to automate OS installs and updates, so you can have more free time.
Specifically, this book explains how to:
- use Kickstart to automate OS installs and upgrades of RHEL, Fedora, CentOS, and other Red Hat-based distributions
- customize and further automate Kickstart builds
- create custom, internal Yum repos to keep your systems up to date
- wrap Yum in a layer of change control, to limit the risks of automated updates
