New Fedora Core/Fedora Linux System Administration, Installation Notes, and HOWTO Pages
Stanton Finley (http://stanton-finley.net/fedora_core_5_installation_notes.html) became famous for his series of Installation Notes between Fedora Core 3 and Fedora Core 5, but left a large void when he decided to switch over to Ubuntu when Fedora Core 6 was released. Toward that end, Dr. Gregory R. Kriehn (http://optics.csufresno.edu/) has a series of Fedora Core/Fedora Linux Systems Administration pages that aim to fill in the gap and expand upon the spirit of Stanton's web pages.
The current set of notes for Fedora 7 include the following information:
F7 Systems Administration Overview
1. Background Information & Purpose
2. Why Choose Fedora (Fedora vs. Ubuntu)
F7 Installation Notes
1. Pre-Installation Tasks
2. Installation
3. Post-Installation Changes (Listed by Order of Importance)
F7 HOWTOs
1. General Setup for Installing Applications
2. Server & General Setup (Listed by Order of Importance)
3. Security & Spam
4. Enlightenment DR17 (E17)
5. Multimedia-Based Applications & Setup
6. Drawing & Image Manipulation Programs
7. Programing Applications & General Utilities
8. Preparing to Install Fedora 8
